GRADUATION!!!: The Benefits of Continuing Your Education and Lifelong Learning.

West collaborated with Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami to oversee the art direction of Graduation as well as design the cover art for the album's accompanying singles.[93] Often called "the Warhol of Japan", Murakami's surrealistic visual art is characterized by cartoonish creatures that appear friendly and cheerful at first glance, but possess dark, twisted undertones.[94][95] The collaboration between the two came about when West visited Murakami's Kaikai Kiki studio during a brief trip to Asaka, Japan.[96] The album's artwork expresses colorful, pastel imagery influenced by Murakami's affiliation with Superflat, a post-modern art movement influenced by manga and anime.[97] Its production process took place over the course of several weeks, with West constantly visualizing new images and emailing the ideas to Murakami and his team.[98] Bringing the educational theme expressed by West's previous albums to a close, the visual plotline of the images contained within the liner notes lead up to a graduation ceremony that takes places within a fictional college institution situated within a futuristic metropolis called Universe City.[48] Murakami explained the metaphor behind the artwork saying:

West spent a significant amount of time promoting Graduation during his trip to the United Kingdom.[120] On August 17, West guest starred on the British comedy-variety show The Friday Night Project.[120] He played preview versions of the songs "Big Brother" and "Champion" from his forthcoming third album while making an appearance on DJ Tim Westwood's radio show on August 18.[121] Later that day, West performed at V Festival in Chelmsford, England before an audience of over 50,000 people and again played new material from Graduation as well as a tribute cover of Amy Winehouse's hit single "Rehab".[122][123] He then held a secret concert with Barbadian singer Rihanna for an audience of over five hundred fans and invited guests at Westminster Central Hall in London, England on August 20.[120][124] The guests were greeted by staff members wearing graduation robes and mortarboard caps in reference to the title of West's third studio album Graduation. At the end of the concert, a shower of silver confetti and ticker tape reading Touch the Sky fell from the ceiling onto the audience while the actual "Touch the Sky", which was the fourth single from Late Registration, was played on the speakers.[124][125]

GRADUATION!!!

The State Board of Education (SBE) passed permanent rules in July 2021, allowing for individual students to use a Graduation Requirement Emergency Waiver (GREW) if their ability to earn all credits and/or complete a Graduation Pathway was impacted by the COVID-19 public health crisis. This waiver should be used only after high schools have made a "good faith effort" to help students meet all graduation requirements and only if the student can still demonstrate their preparation for their post-high school plan.

Due to the COVID-19 public health crisis, the State Board of Education passed emergency rules to ensure that seniors who could demonstrate their preparation for their post-high school plan could access a Graduation Requirement Emergency Waiver (GREW) and still graduate even if not all state and/or local graduation requirements had been met.

Given the interruption of students' access to in-person education as a result of the COVID-19 school building closures, the SBEs emergency waiver rules apply to the students in the Class of 2020. For students needing flexibility in meeting their graduation requirements, the Expedited Assessment Appeal (EAA) waiver is still available.

In recent years, the need to ensure that all students graduate ready for career, college and civic engagement has resulted in increased focus on graduation requirements. This webpage links to specific details about credit requirements, Graduation Pathways (for the Class of 2020 and on), and the High School and Beyond Plan.

All colleges and universities are required by federal law (the Student Right-to-Know Act from 1990) to report student graduation rates. Those schools offering athletics aid are required to report on their student-athletes as well.

NCAA legislation requires member schools to report enrollment (of both student body and student-athletes receiving athletics aid) and student body and student-athlete graduation rates to the NCAA each year. The NCAA then publishes reports on behalf of the member schools to comply with federal reporting requirements.

The student-athlete graduation rate calculated directly based on the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System Graduation Rates Survey, which is the methodology the U.S. Department of Education requires, is the proportion of first-year, full-time student-athletes who entered a school on athletics aid and graduated from that institution within six years. This federal rate does not account for students who transfer from their original college or university and graduate elsewhere; they are considered nongraduates at both the college they left and the one from which they eventually graduate.

NCAA members, particularly presidents and chancellors, asked the NCAA in the early 2000s to develop a measure of student-athlete graduation success that more accurately reflects modern-day patterns of student enrollment and transfer. As a result, the NCAA created the Graduation Success Rate (GSR) for Division I and the Academic Success Rate (ASR) for Division II.

To apply for graduation, undergraduate students are required to complete the Online Graduation Application to be considered a candidate for graduation. Students who wish to apply to graduate but have been separated from the University for at least three months must contact the Office of the University Registrar.

Note on Minors. Minors are not added to student records until approximately a month after the student's graduation date; after their graduation is approved by the dean's office. Do not wait for your minor to show up on your record before applying to graduate. Add the minor in your application, it will be added to your record later.

Undergraduate students must apply and fill out their graduation application by the appropriate deadline for the quarter in which they are filing to graduate. Late applications for graduation are not accepted. The application deadlines are as follows:

The filed Graduation Application is used to inform the candidate's academic unit and advisement center that the Graduation Check is to be completed. It is also the basis for listing candidates in the published Commencement program, for posting the completed degree and any associated Honors designation to the student's record and on the transcript, and for printing the diplomas. The process of degree evaluation, degree posting, and diploma mailing takes up to ten weeks after the end of the graduation term.

Students who have recently applied to graduate can track the status of their graduation application in SalukiNet by going to the Registrar -- Academic Records & Graduation task center and then launching the View Your Filed Graduation Application Status task. Within this task the student will be able to see the following information:

Whereas, students who graduate early, but are not participating in the EGP, meet all state and local minimum high school graduation requirements, as expected of any traditional four-year high school student, but do so on an accelerated timeline. Students who graduate early, but do not participate in the EGP, are not eligible for the EGP Certificate and scholarship from KHEAA.

Students are eligible to graduate when they've completed all their degree or certificate program requirements as outlined in the college's catalog. Students must petition for graduation early in the semester in which they intend to complete their degree by completing a graduation petition form found in the MVConnect student portal. For additional information about graduation requirements, call (708) 974-5721 or email advising@morainevalley.edu.

Moraine Valley's graduation ceremony is held once a year at the end of spring semester for graduates from the previous summer and fall semesters and current spring graduates. It typically takes place on the third Friday of May. A graduation invitation is mailed in mid-March to all students who have petitioned to graduate. If you do not receive a letter but believe you should have or have any other questions about graduation, email Jessica Crotty.

This dashboard indicates the graduation rates by school district for the 2021-22 school year. Click to access, then hover your mouse over a school district to view additional information and special considerations.

Class of 20194-year graduation rate: 81.1%5-year graduation rate: 85.1% 6-year graduation rate: 86.6%7-year graduation rate: 87.2%

The completion counts and rates include all students who graduate in four years with a regular diploma plus students who complete in four years with a HSED or non-diploma certificate. It is important to note that graduates are included in the completer count and rate, therefore the completion counts and rates for any school or district will be greater than or equal to the graduation rate.

With Graduation Pathways, students are able to individualize their graduation requirements to align to their postsecondary goal of Enrollment, Employment, or Enlistment leading to service. No longer must all students fit into the same academic mold, but rather, they can choose the high school options that best meet their postsecondary needs and aspirations. 2ff7e9595c
